PRESS RELEASE: A and AS Level Results

I would like to congratulate our students on their excellent results and we are delighted with our outstanding performance at both A Level and AS Level this year and in what this means for individual students and their families.

At A level our results of A*-B (57.27%) and our average points score per student (414.8) are both up on last year. An outstanding 28.5 % students have gained 3 or more A grades and a record 12.3% A* grades have been awarded.

The vast majority of students have had their first choice of university places confirmed, with our 4 Oxbridge candidates and 3 medics all succeeding in their applications. This is a great achievement by our students and our staff during a time of major change and against a challenging national backdrop.

These results are an excellent reflection of the hard work and ability shown by our students and they are a tribute to the outstanding support and guidance that has been provided by our staff.

I am delighted that our continued A level success helps us realise the potential of our individual students and at the part this plays in helping our students shape their future beyond school.
